Adaptors/Chargers

Standard adaptors and chargers are already included with the macro solar bags. They are listed here for informational purposes and are sold as replacements.

The macro solar bags include a set of "Standard Adaptors and Chargers" pictured here.

This includes a car charger socket, which means you can plug in a standard car charger to recharge or run most small consumer electronics, including phones, PDA''s, cameras, MP3''s etc.

We also include a USB adaptor which works with most USB chargers including iPods. Just set the battery pack to 5V and plug in.

If you don''t have a car or USB charger for your device, or don''t want to carry the extra wires, we include 10 adaptor plugs in standard sizes and for popular cell phones.

There is also a lightweight AC travel charger (110/240V 850mA) and a DC car charger, which means you can still recharge the battery when not in the sun.

We also offer a range of optional adaptors for cell phones, cameras, and PDA''s, detailed below.

Question & Answer

What will happen if the bag gets wet?
The solar panels are waterproof and so will not be affected. The nylon used to construct the bag is also waterproof. However, water will eventually seep in through the zips and seams, so the contents can get wet. The only electrical component likely to be adversely affected is the battery pack, which you should treat as you would any other electronic device and keep it dry.
